Our G3 series waterproof switches have a variety of important applications in car tailgate locks, as follows:

Tailgate opening control

The waterproof switch installed near the driving seat in the car or outside the tailgate provides a convenient way for the owner to open the tailgate. Even in bad weather, such as heavy rain or car washing, the waterproof switch can work normally. The owner presses the switch and triggers the unlocking mechanism of the tailgate lock through an electrical signal, so that the tailgate can be opened.

Tailgate closing detection

When the tailgate is closed, the waterproof switch can detect the closing state of the tailgate and feedback the signal to the vehicle's electronic control system. If the tailgate is not completely closed, the switch will not be triggered, and the vehicle will prompt or sound an alarm through the dashboard to remind the owner to check the tailgate to ensure driving safety.

Linkage with vehicle safety system

The waterproof switch is closely connected to the overall safety system of the car. When the vehicle is locked, the waterproof switch of the tailgate can prevent illegal opening. If someone tries to open the tailgate through the switch, the vehicle's anti-theft system will be triggered, an alarm will be sounded, and relevant information will be recorded.
